Have an idea for a fund-raising event?

Give us an overview, plan and timeline and let's get it on the calendar.

We are always looking for in-kind and other donations!

If you are a certified instructor and would like to offer a class in loading and trailering stressed animals, we can find the appropriate venue and do all the advertising.

If have unneeded items, such as halters, ropes, flysheets, or spare boxes of vet wrap, please contact us. All donations are tax-deductible.

At the top of our wish list...

  • An enclosed trailer to be used to transport supplies to emergency sites. We would be glad to honor a corporate or personal donor with a sign on the trailer, a note of appreciation on this site, and in press releases.
  • Temporary sites for housing animals during disasters. These sites can be used for a few days, or longer, depending on property owners' desires. Small animals will be housed near their families as much as possible, but large animals require more space as well as a quieter environment.
  • Ham Radios & operators
  • Halters & lead ropes, all sizes for all types of animals

HOW YOU CAN HELP

iGive.com
Is a "portal" through which you can access over 680 online stores.  Participating stores give rebates to Sclar based on qualified purchases.  All you need to do is register with iGive.com (it's free!) and "enter" the online stores through the portal.  It doesn't cost you a thing !!

iSearchiGive.com
Once you've registered with iGive.com and selected Sclar as your designated "cause", you can also earn money by performing qualified online searches.  Similar to other search engines, you simply type in what you want to search, i.e., "geocaching".  For every search conducted in this manner, a few pennies will accumulate in the Sclar account.  All you need to do is start your search through iSearchiGive.com

Country Supply.com
When ordering equine supplies online, consider Country Supply.  They provide rebates to Sclar based on qualified purchases.  It doesn't cost you a thing!  Simply use the "Country Care" code of "Sclar" when making your purchase.

Gently Used Items
Donations of gently used, saleable items are always appreciated, as well as volunteer members to staff our booths.  Keep Sclar in mind when you're doing your spring cleaning.  We participate in the Diamond Springs Labor Day Bazaar.
Each year we also participate in a local tack swap.  In addition to needing unused halters and lead ropes for our evacuation efforts, we also sell gently used farm/ranch items at the tack swap.  Your donations would be much appreciated.
Contact us at (530)Sclar if you are able to make any donations.
